The eye-catching, stylish Artic Silver and
Alpine White design incorporates a 5-1 card
reader as well as front-access multimedia
buttons for conveniently controlling Audio
CDs or DVDs. Even connecting all your
digital multimedia devices is easy with the
Inspiron 6400. It comes with a standard
S-Video (TV-Out) port, IEEE 1394 (Firewire),

Inspiron 6400 notebook features abundant multimedia tools,
such as a 15.4-inch widescreen display, seven backlit
multimedia keys, and numerous ports and connections for
multimedia devices. It also incorporates Intel's new 945GM
chipset, which is designed to reduce power consumption and
improve performance. Inspiron 6400 systems come with 15.4"
widescreen display is comparable in viewing area to a 20"
CRT monitor, an Intel Media Accelerator 900 graphics
card, a SD (Secure Digital) media card
reader for swapping files with your camera
or PDA, and Dolby digital audio. Additional
ports and connections include an S-Video
(Super Video) out port, a headphone and
speaker jack, a microphone jack, Six USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire for those looking to
hook up a camcorder
Standard software for the Inspiron 6400 includes , Dell Media Experience, Dell Jukebox, and
Sonic RecordNow. You also get a trial version of Paint Shop
Pro Studio and a 90-day trial version of Symantec's Norton
Internet Security or McAfee Security Center.
For networking, the Inspiron 6400 contains
standard features, such as an integrated 10/1000 Ethernet
card and a 56Kbps modem. and fast 802.11b/g for
