As long as the laptop remains in the United States or Canada, you do not have to register it in order to be entitled to warranty coverage. The warranty is fully transferable. Possession of the laptop, in and of itself, entitles you to warranty support. The bar code on the underside of the laptop, along with the Type, Model and Serial Number indicated thereon, is your "title" of ownership and your right to any warranty service and support. This information is also stored in the BIOS of the laptop.
