This model features the Intel Core2 Duo T7300
code named Santa Rosa with 2.0Ghz processor
speed[/u], double [b]4mb L2 Cache and a super fast
800Mhz Front side bus. The previous Core 2 Duos
(referred to as Merom) had a 667-MHz FSB (front-side
bus). The Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo has an 800-MHz FSB.
(Front Side Bus[FSB]: The connecting path between the
processor and other key components such as the memory
controller hub. The Higher the FSb the faster the
processor can communicate with the other components like
RAM and the Hard Drive). In "English" a faster FSB
means faster performance and better multitasking.
The Santa Rosa is designed to make your battery last
longer with Dynamic Front-Side Bus Switching.
This new technology allows the FSB to be underclocked
when desired in order to save power. Previously,
Centrino processors operated in Low Frequency Mode when
set for reduced-power operation, but the FSB was kept at
full speed. By cutting the FSB speed in half using
Dynamic FSB switching, Santa Rosa is able to save more
power than before. Intel refers to this combination
of chip-and-FSB underclocking as Super Low Frequency
Mode, or Super LFM. In actually DvD Playback test the
DV2500T Santa Rosa was tested to provide additional
25% more battery juice!. That's an improvement,
since Vista is known to be more taxing on the battery
compared to Xp-Pro and Media Center 2005. |

The HP xb3000 Notebook Expansion Base (sold separately)
connects your DV2250t to peripherals, including a
monitor if you want a desktop experience. You also get
two USB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard/54 slot, an RJ-11, an
RJ-45, an S-Video port, a Consumer IR, a headphone jack,
and an external microphone port. If you select the
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 graphics card or Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator 950 for Core processors, you also get:
