With its slick and slim design, Lenovo's fourth-gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon  is the kind of business laptop you'll gladly show off around the office. A sixth-generation Intel Core i5-6300U processor with Intel HD Graphics 520 powers the laptop. Multimedia performance is a lot better than usually found in a lightweight laptop. It has excellent features, including a thin, yet sturdy carbon fiber and magnesium casing, a great selection of  ports, and the excellent ThinkPad keyboard. Plus, it's faster, has a higher-resolution screen, includes a longer-lasting battery, and is a half pound lighter than the previous model

The laptop's carbon fiber and magnesium body is thin, strong, and exceptionally light., thinner and lighter than 3rd gen X1 Carbon, The keyboard is spill-resistant, and the unit has been certified for MIL-STD tests, including high humidity, low temperature, high temperature, blowing sand, vibration, mechanical shock, high altitude, and temperature shock. on top of that, Lenovo performs extra tests like, drop tests, and electrostatic shock.

Verdict

At 1.64cm thin and 1.21kg light, the  ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th generation  is even thinner and lighter than the previous Gen 3 version (1.77cm and 1.31kg). It's powered by Intel's latest Core i5 and i7 processors. The chassis is made from carbon fiber, so you can probably get away with carrying this laptop without a protective sleeve, other design elements like matt-black chassis with LED 'ThinkPad' on the lid

All these features are present in the 4th-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which has a starting weight of only 1.21kg. with  it's the extreme slimness, Measuring at 1.64cm along the back edge and tapering towards the front, and a Small footprint, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon is no problem to stow in a backpack.

Conclusion

Yet another impressive ThinkPad X1 Carbon from Lenovo, one that's distinctly evolutionary. With impressive weight of less than 1.2 kg, you can take the ThinkPad on every business trip and it easily lasts a whole day without power adapter. Despite slim design, you hardly need to bother with limitations in performance, connectivity, or battery life. On top of that, Lenovo has incorporated a very attractive screen panel with great colors and contrasts.

The matte finish on the ThinkPad X1 screen makes it great to work with, along with two options for the 14-inch screen. either a 1920 x 1080-pixel  IPS screen or a Super high resolution  2560 x 1440-pixel  IPS screen.
